WHY is STABILITY the first thing, always?
You need to know where you are, before you can move in the direction you want to go.
In the Ayurvedic model of physiology, there are 5 currents of movement in and through the body. In Sanskrit, these are called the Pancha Vayus – Five Winds.

You can look around at the natural world for yourself, and see this principle everywhere, too.
If a tree or other plant isn’t rooted, it’s roots continually moving and reaching DOWNWARD to connect deeply and completely into the soil (and sometimes deeper than soil, into rocky substratum, too), that tree or plant will not stand long. It’s won’t be able to access moisture or nutrients either. In fact, it’s entire circulatory system shuts down, it dries out – and dies– quickly once it’s uprooted. The healthier the root system – the more “grounded” – the more overall strength, wellness and growth there will be.
